I have long been a supporter of Arizona’s workers. Growing up, my dad was a union construction worker, which meant he had more benefits and rights than many of his colleagues. Now, as a university instructor, I am a proud card-carrying member of the American Federation of Teachers Local 8002.
In Congress, I’ll support ending so-called “right to work” which reduces the effectiveness of collective bargaining and work to pass the bipartisan PRO Act, which will protect our union workers and stop unfair labor practices. I’ll also fight for enhanced worker protections and ensure Trump lifts the pause on rulemaking abilities for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), which protects Arizona workers from extreme heat and unsafe conditions.
