Innovation & Job Growth

In a rapidly changing world, technology and innovation are creating new, good-paying jobs for Arizonans. In the State House, I was proud to secure investments in small businesses and bring emerging technologies to our state, and was awarded Arizona Technology Representative of the Year in 2021 by the Arizona Technology Council for my leadership in innovation. Since then, even newer technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) have grown and have the potential to develop cures for cancer, propose solutions for the climate crisis, or help our farmers find innovative ways to conserve water.

In Congress, I will continue that work by bringing good paying jobs to Arizona. One such example is the Bipartisan CHIPS and Science Act. This law specifically has invested in new jobs in Arizona for chip technology manufacturing which is vital for our country’s national security. In Congress, I will defend the bipartisan CHIPS and Science Act from Donald Trump and MAGA extremists who are working to rollback this legislation, endangering jobs for thousands of Arizonans.

Blockchain technologies and their applications could also help empower Arizonans to be the true owners of their own data, access financial services, and be stakeholders in the digital economy. I’ll also work to cut red tape to spark the development of emerging technologies, including AI, blockchain, and cryptocurrency, while ensuring adequate consumer protections and transparency are in place. This way, we can bring more good-paying jobs to Arizona and technologies of the future to Arizona, fund life-changing research at our world-class public universities, and advance technologies to combat the climate crisis.
