Tucson, Arizona – On the Arizona Citizens Clean Elections Commission debate stage Tuesday night, Daniel Hernandez focused on the issues that matter most to southern Arizonans: creating jobs and opportunities for economic growth, lowering costs, protecting Medicaid and Medicare, protecting union jobs, and fighting back on Donald Trump and MAGA extremism.
In the debate, Daniel demonstrated his commitment to being accountable to his constituents. As a member of the Tucson Unified School District and the Pima County Board of Supervisors, Adelita Grijalva had a history of silencing members of the public who were critical of her actions and opposing positions that would serve as an auditor to the School Board.
In the debate, Hernandez shared his record as a fighter against Trump in his first term, while also delivering results — because working families can’t wait. Daniel will always protect union jobs and will never raise a penny in taxes on working families.
“Tonight, Daniel Hernandez showed voters exactly why he’s the strongest candidate to take on Donald Trump’s extreme agenda and deliver real results for Southern Arizona families,” said David Huff, Campaign Manager for Daniel Hernandez for Congress. “He spoke from experience—about growing up in a working-class family that relied on programs like Medicaid, and about the urgency of protecting those lifelines today. Voters want someone who gets it, who will fight for lower costs, better jobs, and dignity for every Arizonan. Daniel proved on that stage he’s ready to lead on day one.”
