Tucson, Arizona – On the Arizona PBS debate stage Tuesday night, Daniel Hernandez focused on the issues that matter most to southern Arizonans: lowering costs providing and protecting good union jobs for working families, protecting Medicaid and Medicare, fighting back on Donald Trump and MAGA extremism.
Daniel is a former member of the Arizona House of Representatives and former President of the Sunnyside School Board.
In the debate, Daniel demonstrated his record as a fighter against Trump in his first term, while also delivering results — because working families can’t wait. Adelita Grijalva’s record includes a regressive property tax hike, her vocal support of the almost 10% sales tax hike that voters rejected last March, and her current opposition to good union jobs with PLA agreements in CD-7. Meanwhile, while families are struggling in this economy, Daniel will always protect union jobs and will never raise a penny in taxes on working families.
“Voters in Arizona’s Seventh Congressional District are concerned about the price of food at the grocery store, being able to get good jobs to support their families, and if they are going to still have access to the federal programs they need like Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and SNAP. For Daniel, these programs are personal when his family needed them the most just to get by,” said David Huff, Campaign Manager for Daniel Hernandez for Congress.
“Democrats must focus on sending a fighter who knows how to block Donald Trump’s cruel and dangerous agenda, and also get things done for those struggling in this economy. With years of experience in advocacy and elected office, Daniel Hernandez will be ready on day one to fight Trump and his administration.”
