Tucson, Arizona – Today, Daniel Hernandez’s campaign for AZ-07 earned the endorsements of the current and former state Senators representing Arizona’s District 9: Senator Kiana Maria Sears and former Senator Eva Burch.
Hernandez is a former member of the Arizona House of Representatives and former President of the Sunnyside School Board. His supporters reflect his work strengthening Arizona. These endorsements are part of a growing coalition of organizations, grassroots donors, and community leaders supporting Hernandez’s bid for Congress.
Last week, Hernandez also announced a $505,000 fundraising milestone, with small dollar donors making up 83% of individual contributions.
State Senator Kiana Maria Sears released the following statement:
“Daniel Hernandez doesn’t just support public education but listens, shows up, and fights for all our families. From serving on a school board to championing public education at the state level, Daniel has proven his commitment to students, teachers, and families. He understands that strong schools are the heart of strong communities, and he’ll bring that same leadership, dedication and grassroots engagement to Congress.”
Former State Senator Eva Burch released the following statement:
“As a nurse, reproductive rights advocate, and former state legislator, I know how critical it is to have outspoken leaders in Congress. Daniel Hernandez has always stood up for reproductive healthcare and women’s rights — even when it wasn’t easy. Whether as Planned Parenthood’s Raiz National Program Manager, or in elected office — I trust Daniel to fight for access to abortion care and the freedom to make our own health care decisions without interference. We need his voice in Washington.”
