Tucson, Arizona – Former Mayor of Nogales, Obama Administration official, and local business leader Marco Lopez endorsed Daniel Hernandez’s campaign for Congress today.
Hernandez is a former School Board member, State Representative, gun violence survivor, and son of an immigrant from Nogales, Sonora, Mexico.
Hernandez’s campaign continues to gain momentum with new endorsements from officials and organizations at the federal, state, and local levels.
Former Mayor Lopez released the following statement:
“Daniel Hernández gets what too many in Washington have lost sight of: border communities need real solutions, not more political theater. I’m proud to support Daniel because he’ll fight for smart, responsible immigration reform and bring meaningful resources home to our region. With deep roots in southern Arizona and a proven record of leadership, Daniel is exactly the kind of representative we need—one who will cut through the noise, fix what’s broken, and put our communities first.”
