Tucson, Arizona – Daniel Hernandez, a former School Board member, State Representative, and gun violence survivor seeking the Democratic nomination for Congress in AZ-07, has earned two more endorsements today: State Senator Eva Diaz and State Representative Lupe Contreras.
Hernandez’s campaign continues to gain momentum with new endorsements from officials and organizations at the federal, state, and local levels.
Diaz and Contreras released the following statements:
State Senator Eva Diaz, District 22:
“Daniel Hernandez has spent his life fighting for our communities—as a school board member, state legislator, and advocate for working families. I’ve seen firsthand his dedication to making government work for the people it serves. I’m proud to endorse Daniel because I know he’ll be a relentless champion for Southern Arizona in Congress.”
State Representative Lupe Contreras, District 22:
“Daniel Hernandez is the fighter we need in Arizona’s 7th Congressional District. At a time when our democracy is under attack by MAGA extremists who want to take us backward, Daniel has the conviction to stand up for our values. He’s spent his life serving our communities, and I know he’ll bring that same dedication to Washington to protect our freedoms and put people over politics. I’m proud to endorse Daniel because he won’t back down from this fight — and neither can we.”
